A Norwegian style LARP event

There's never enough time, not even for Epsilon squad, one of the finest...Well...One of the TimeCop Consortiums specialized task forces for intracentennial observation and enforcement. Stuck with a menial job no one else wanted, they failed. Spectacularly. Now people from the past are stuck in the relative future, and their jobs are on the line. The clock is ticking.

Welcome to the homepage of the Norwegian style LARP event: Out of Time.

This event will be run at GenCon Indy 2004. You might be asking yourself "what the firk is Norwegian style LARP ??". Well in short it's how us crazy Norwegians do the LARP'ing thing. We will be holding a seminar (also at GenCon Indy 04) that discusses it more indepth, but really it is quite simple. We emphasise three things... Well, one thing really. It's all about imersion. Those three points then are imersion, realism and simple rules. It all comes down to being able to beleive completely and without a doubt, that you actually are another person in another place and time.

We beleive that this style of LARP'ing will also appeal to most American LARP'ers, and that they would enjoy taking part in this particular event - a short "demo" LARP.

PLEASE NOTE: If you want to play a medieval character you must contact us before June 1st 2004.

Players who do not adhere to this deadline will not be eligible to play medieval characters. You are of course more than welcome to play any other character. While there are no formal requirements, costume or otherwise, for playing a TimeCop character, this does not mean that you can not actively work with the organizers on your character prior to the convention. In fact, we encourage you to do this! If you have any ideas for props or other accesories, or have any talents or skills you believe would be useful prior to or during the LARP, please let us know (kat at saers dot com).
