Craig Carmichael
Alto Recorder for Every Mood
Album of 11 Alto recorder solos and duets
(alto-alto, alto-tenor, some for any recorder)

#1) Air in the Scottish Style          Alto (or other) Solo 1998, 1 page
(Easy, and suitable for many treble clef instruments)

#2) Clip-Clop: Ridin' on the lone Prairie     Alto Solo 1998, 1 page
The long, lazy day on horseback, and the coyotees howling at the moon. Pretty
easy but for the coyotee glissandos.

#3) Joyride          (MIDI)          Alto/Tenor Duet 1998, 2 pages
Exuberant music, and not as hard as it looks

#4) Intrigue                    Alto Solo 1998, 1 page
You can tell there's something going on here!

#5) Showtime     (MIDI)          Alto Solo 1999, 2 pages.
Fairly Difficult - Plus, a there are a few high F#'s & A's. (Hmm... just because I can write 'em doesn't mean I can play 'em!)

#6) Ramblin' On                    Alto/Alto or Alto/Tenor Duet, 2 pages (2:00)
A conversation piece, with more dialogue between 1st and 2nd parts than most duets in this album.

#7) Recorder Ditty               Alto/Tenor Duet (or 2 soprano, 2 tenor) 1 page
Nice, simple 'excersize book' sort of tune

#8) Drifting Downstream          Alto/Alto or Alto/Tenor Duet, 3 pages (2:05)
Gentle, soothing music - except for the rapids!

#9 Blue Mood March     (MIDI)     Duet: any 2 like recorders or Alto+Tenor, 2pgs (1:40)
Something a bit introspective. The interplay between the two instruments could only be appreciated in duet format!

#10 Merry-Go-Round               Duet: F-C or C-C recorders 2pgs. (1st has high D's)
Another jaunty little tune something like Joyride.

#11 Recorder Ditty #2               Duet F-C or C-C recorders.
