Hello peoples!

Generally I try to avoid "about me" pages, because I never have the faintest idea what to write. Thank gods then, for the modern miracle of HTML! I shall tell you about myself in links!

I'm a student at the University of Oslo. I've been there for what seems like forever. I wanted to start studying English, failed an entry exam for that program, and then basically went through six billion different courses, none of which were really right for me. Recently however, they changed the system, and now offer bachelor degrees like the rest of the civilized (English-speaking) world. And this was my salvation. I'm now in the English literature program, and I'm loving it. This is truly what I was meant to do all along. This does mean I know a little bit about many things, like psychology, computers and anthropology. And that's not a bad thing at all.

I've been on the internet since I was about 18, but I didn't really have a presence there until I got my first website at age 19. That was sadly neglected for many years, and it has long been my meaning to have a representative site for myself. This, I hope, will be it. I used to be part of the Bolt online community, where I was active on the abortion discussion forum. I met a lot of wonderful people there, some of whom I have been able to keep in touch with via Livejournal. My personal journal is here. If you know me, and you have your own journal, add me as a friend and let me know, so I can add you back!

I love to write, and quite recently, I discovered that fanfiction is not the silly, infantile past-time I thought it was. In fact, it is a very entertaining hobby, and one I am glad I got involved in.

I want to be a writer someday. I've heard that in order for that to work you have to actually write some original fiction, and convince someone to publish it. Oh well.

I sing. I've been in a choir for 19 years now (yes, the same choir), which is nothing short of scary. I also love karaoke, and singing in general.

I LARP and play the occational tabletop RPG. I'm involved in the Norwegian gaming convention ARCON, and this year, as last year, I am going to GenCon in the US. Check out their forums if you are going too. I am hosting a LARP there this year, which you can read about here.
